Shifteh is a British business woman who has made St Kitts her home for the last ten years. In December 2003, overnight, three thousand children were made homeless after a devastating earthquake in the Kerman region of Iran where Shifteh was born. Shifteh and her family responded immediately by setting up a safe, loving family environment to as many children as they could. Their operation has grown over the years and now provides a family home for forty nine children in Kerman. Shifteh is passionate about creating an environment for children in which, they are safe and loved, where they can be helped to reach their full potential.
Shifteh is thrilled to have been asked to join the board of St Christopher's Children Home and looks forward to using her twelve years’ experience of managing children’s homes to support both the Board of St Christopher’s and the children under its care.
